Best weekend, ever.

This weekend was so amazing, I can hardly stand it, or believe it all actually happened in the course of just a few days. Let me give you a quick run down, blog style, about what's occurred since Thursday.

Thursday- Half day because of finals. Huge weight off of EVERYONE'S chest because it was the end of the semester. It's always nice to be able to start with a clean slate. After school (which was 12:45) Kayla, Kyndra, Bryan and I all went to Mallory's house to make pancakes. This is sort of a tradition for us. We make pancakes more than we breathe, I think. Anyways, the pancakes were really small. I decided that they were a combination of cookies and pancakes. While trying to be clever in my head, and not thinking through my thoughts before letting them fly out of my mouth, I dubbed our creation "pannies". Typing it, it doesn't look as bad, but my verbal slip lead to brunch over conversation about edible underwear. After this, Kyndra and Bryan took Kayla home while Mallory and I drove to get Trevor from school. At this point, Kayla isn't able to go to our weekend extravaganza. We get back to Mallory's, watch The Sandlot and discover that the new kid at our school, and the tall skinny kid on the team that wears glasses have an uncanny resemblance to one another. Very fun. This somehow turns into me thinking the kids red coat is hot, and getting hit on through texts. Wonderful. By the time I go to bed, Kayla is able to go to the weekend party, and all is good.

Friday- Teachers need to get their grades in, so we have no school, which leaves me to sleep in, then lounge. I watched Stir Of Echoes, flipping to the Hannah Montana mega marathon on commercials. (I know, I'm diverse.) I got ready around 4, and left with Kyndra, Mallory and Kayla at 5:30. We went to Kayla's to talk about Cloverfield, and stuff the car with blankets. Then we go to Wendy's, and talk about how fun it would be to just recreate High School Musical, right there in the middle of a fast food restaurant. We had big plans, however, we grabbed Kyndra's little sister's burger and left without executing any part of it. We lost the boys basketball game, stocked up on more blankets and cookie dough and Kyndra's, almost had to have a parking lot throw down with more Horizon girls :), picked up Eddie and went back to my house. (During all of this, we realize that we are a completely legit boy band and sing 'I Want It That Way' much better than The Backstreet Boys.) We ate chicken fingers at 11, dropped Eddie off once we were dressed like "fat, pregnant, hippie lesbian fans" and drove down to the convention center.

Friday night/early Saturday morning-FIRST PEOPLE AT THE CONVENTION CENTER! It was super cold out and the Convention Center ended up letting us inside. It was a big Jonas fan sleep over. Soo much fun. How many people get to say they camped out in the convention center? Bet you can't. The custodian was cleaning the girls bathroom so I stuck it to the man and went into the guys. Urinals make me laugh on sight, and Alyssa and I discuss how they just definitely wouldn't work for females.

Saturday- I'm surviving on 0 minutes of sleep and seven Red Bulls. I don't care if that's a health risk or not, my friends and I were sooo ridiculously nervous. We split up throughout the ticket line, Mallory stole me a 'Jonas Brothers Tickets' sign and we all shook like crazy waiting for the number to be called. Lots of freaking and lack of sleep ended in THIRD ROW CENTER SEATS. Oh, Nicholas Jerry Jonas...this will be great. Mallory took pictures of me jumping up and down. I saw an old friend at church after 3 hours of sleep. It was so nice to see him, and to know right off the bat that he hasn't changed since we were 12. :) After church, my Mom, her best friend Carla and I went italian. The food was soo good. I went home, watched Law and Order and CRASHED.

Monday - I got my braces off, went to lunch with my mom and grandparents, and bought four purses. I watched those Jonas boys on Ellen, and discussed with Addam how he "likes the one that falls a lot." We decided our double wedding is a go.

Moral of the story? Life is so good right now. I have a wonderful family, the most AMAZING friends ever, a great church, a clean slate at school, metal-less teeth...and third row center seats to see the Jonases..the night before my sixteenth birthday.

I'm going to charge my ipod, pick out tomorrow's outfit and lounge with a smile. :)

xoxo-
Devin
